Survival mode misaligns who you are and how you feel

The body is a pattern of the mind. Why? When emotions are dysregulated, the nervous system responds with survival impulses. The reflex is your natural instinct, helping you feel safe and secure. In the survival response moment, a pattern of behavior is conceived. The pattern becomes the shadow of influence in perception with each experience moving forward. Defensive behavior, a sympathetic response, develops from emotional triggers that impact your survival operating system in the short-term and long-term.

Once in survival mode, it is difficult to break the hard-wiring state created because it becomes an automatic nervous system reaction default. Over time, due to the duration and intensity of the survival experience, your mind-body connection becomes desensitized. The disconnected state of being confuses internal communication, operates from a place of deficiency, and misaligns who you are and how you feel.

Human beings have the resilience to access inner coherence, a multi-sensory operating system called interoception. Interoception is natural instinct, and it lies deep within our multi-layered brain structure. It is the agent that aids with self-awareness, helps to release hypervigilant emotional behavior, and improves the ability to listen and feel deeply within ourselves. In the moment when you tap into the interoceptive space, you are alive with your creative intelligence and embodied with a grounded sense of Presence.

Meet Dana

With all my experience as a lifelong athlete, diverse employment roles, mixology of education: catholic, public, liberal arts, technical college; American College of Sports Medicine, Taoism, executive coach & advisor, entrepreneur, wife, mother, friend, community board member & volunteer, and international traveler. I have walked with many people who live with disconnection. And I personally understand how ambiguous it can be to feel mistrust, confused, desensitized, and isolated. Here’s what I experience today: we are resisting who we truly are because we don't know what it means to feel and be intimately present within ourselves.

Three years ago, I traveled to a clinic in Colorado to test my brain, body, and blood because I was experiencing lack of sleep, body aches, neuropathy, chronic inflammation, metabolic deficiency(low energy), methylation impairment, hormonal imbalance, dopamine depleted, leaky gut, cognitive depression: brain in survival mode with extensive emotional trauma, and deteriorating cellular health. After extensive testing, the clinics diagnoses: Trauma caused from Extreme Environmental Toxicity. Both of us, clinic included, had not experienced this state of health. Together with the neuroscience, functional medicine board certified doctor, brain, nutrition, and sports physio team specialists, I began my programming journey to heal. In the process, I learned my health was a response and an accumulation of living in a state of survival mode stemming from childhood trauma experiences. My body and mind immunity was depleted and open to external threats. In 18 months, I fully detoxified my body, improved my brain functioning with neurofeedback and alternative practices, and increased cellular resilience. The clinic has recently used my my health case as their case study at longevity medicine speaking engagement. As a result from all that I learned with the clinic, and my personal experience, I am committed to help you navigate your health and wellness, align you with the programming to support your mind-body coherence, and improve your accessibility to heal. Without self-awareness, pattern recognition, and your innate ability to feel, it is impossible to have whole-hearted human connection.

I continually study and educate myself in neuroscience, trauma/shadow work, the brain, relational mindfulness, physical health & fitness, and consciousness-centered education, research and development.

WHAT I DO?

My work highlights a multi-sensory experience with an emphasis on health & wellness resilience programming; Brain, body, blood, to help you realign your mind-body connection understanding what it means to be alive in a state of attunement: the body is a pattern of the mind.

It is an interoceptive practice which recognizes and clarifies behavioral patterns, realigning your commitments, and creates an operating system within all the relational operating systems highlighting access to an intimate state of Presence.
